Homemade Almond Butter Recipe

Ingredients:

2 1/4 cup Almonds

3 tablespoons Maple Syrup

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

2 tablespoons Coconut Oil

2 tablespoons Avocado Oil

1/4 teaspoon Himalayan Salt

1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

2 tablespoons Chia Seeds

2 tablespoons Hemp Powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, coat the almonds with the maple syrup. Once fully mixed, spread the almonds on the baking sheet in one layer. Bake until the maple syrup has caramelized and the almonds are fragrant, about 25-30 minutes, stirring the almonds once mid-way through.
  3. Remove the almonds from the oven, and allow to cool for about 10 minutes. Once cool, place the almonds, the coconut oil and the avocado oil in a high powered blender or food-processor. Blend for several minutes until the natural oils of the almonds start to release and the texture turns to a spreadable consistency, scraping the sides of the mixer when necessary.
  4. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend until you’ve reached your desired texture. If you like your almond butter crunchy, reserve a small portion of roasted almonds to throw in for the final 10-15 seconds of blending.
